The American Feed Industry Association is pleased to announce its 2017 calendar of events; the meetings, conferences and workshops, with varying topics and audiences, serve to educate and connect the US animal food industry
The first event of 2017 is the International Production & Processing Expo, hosted in partnership with the US Poultry & Egg Association and North American Meat Institute, Jan. 31-Feb. 2, in Atlanta, Georgia, and concludes with AFIA's Equipment Manufacturers Conference Nov. 2-4, in Orlando, Florida.
"There is something for everyone when it comes to the 2017 events lineup. Our goal is to provide education and networking opportunities for all of our members in every level of the feed industry," said Veronica Rovelli, AFIA director of meetings and events.
"We have designed each of these events to meet that goal."
"This year you will see continued focus on the Food Safety Modernization Act and the Veterinary Feed Directive, as both are in the implementation period," Ms Rovelli said.
AFIA, in partnership with Kansas State University, continues the distance education program, which provides an in-depth understanding of the feed manufacturing process in 2017.
The program lasts five weeks and the first course offering begins Feb. 27. Registration is now open.
