Blue Ocean is scaling as they hire a new COO

The experts in sludge treatment in aquaculture, Blue Ocean Technology AS, are growing rapidly with increasing numbers of projects on land and at sea at home and abroad – and are expanding their staff again.

Thomas Tveiten Lewis has been hired as COO – and has taken up the position.

Previous work experience is for Rolls Roys Power Systems/Bergen Engines in project management and system design, and most recently for Greensight (part of Greenstat ASA) as project manager and energy advisor.

As head of production/COO at Blue Ocean Technology, Mr Tveiten Lewis will have overall responsibility for all production of systems for customers at home and abroad.

Blue Ocean Technology has now gone from a phase with simultaneous focus on development/ product customisations and deliveries to a more pure scaling phase with a strong focus on efficient production. Mr Tveiten Lewis with his background and professionalism is a very important piece in our work to consolidate his position as a leading supplier of sludge treatment systems for aquaculture world-wide. Combined with the new building/ headquarters being ready in the new year and our new "Sludgehammer" system for intelligent sourcing, production and aftermarket, we are in a good position to grow profitably," says Hans Runshaug – CEO of Blue Ocean Technology.

Blue Ocean focuses on timely deliveries with the right quality. With the global challenges of the delivery situation in terms of components, efficient production and sourcing are of critical importance.

"I have always had an interest in industrial production and the opportunities posed by new technology in the recycling industry. My work at Greensight convinced me about the importance of circular economy in the future.  The focus on discharge, as well as increasing prices, will push up requirements for efficient utilisation of resources generally. It's hugely nice to have this opportunity to join the BOT team, a company with incredibly skilled people, and exciting technology. I look forward to making my contribution to BOT, and helping to produce market-leading sludge treatment equipment for the aquaculture industry," says Mr Tveiten Lewis.
