The 'RapiDot Diagnostic Kit' is a new technology that is soon to be released, used specifically for the detection of white spot virus in shrimp. This new technology was developed by KVAFSU - also known as the 'Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University'. Virbac Animal Health Limited, Mumbai - a French company; will be receiving this technology for implementation on March 8th.

More than 272 million Alaskan salmon were caught in 2013, with 80 percent of the salmon caught being from the pink salmon species.
