Garware expansion of the South American market

Garware Technical Fibres, global provider of nets and ropes, present in the main aquaculture countries in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America, is currently exhibiting at International Fish Congress and Fish Expo Brazil 2022.

'We are sure that our innovative products will solve operational challenges, add value and increase the profitability of fish farming companies in Brazil, as we have been doing with our customers around the world, comments Gopakumar Menon, Vice President Americas. We are excited to be in Brazil and our initial feedback is very ecouraging.  Our customised products, focused on sustainable aquaculture is helping us to expand to new markets.'

Garware Technical Textiles Ltd, provides innovative solutions worldwide, being known for developing products focused on applications for a global aquaculture industry.

Aquaculture companies are seeing huge value and adopting products with V2 technology.

Mettlic copper is infused in HDPE Nets and ropes, delaying fouling when installed. This allows farms to reduce cleaning by approximate 50 percent.

While in the Star V4 nets, polyethylene can be 100 percent impregnated with traditional water-based paints, being the only ones on the global market. Companies prefering to use paint instead of Insitu cleaning, with V4 nets can have nets with properties of STAR- no shrinkage, high abrasion resistance, less holes, repair cost and long life.

In addition, GTFL makes anti-predator nets, with a high cut resistance, stiffness, breaking strength and abrasion resistance, preventing marine mammels breaching nets. Sapphire Ultracore, with Stainless steel wire in core, compactly bradied, with environmental footprint is lower than that of nylon, generates three to four times less CO2 emissions, is currently the most preferred anti predator net for Salmon farms, replacing traditional Nylon and polyester Nets.

There is also the Sapphire Ultra Guard, with specialised polymers in the core, which replace the steel strands, maintaining the characteristics of protection against the attack of wolves and making it easier to recycle, 100 percent.

Garware, listed on the Mumbai Stock Exchange, is among exhibitors from some 15 countries that will highlight issues related to aquaculture markets, between August 31 and September 2, in Foz do Iguaçu.
