Lukas Manomaitis to speak at the upcoming Aquatic Asia conference

Lukas Manomaitis, USSEC Aquaculture Program Technical Contractor/USSEC Southeast Asia Technical Director Aquaculture, will be speaking at the Aquatic Asia conference next week.

Mr Manomaitis has worked with U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) for over 20 years to promote the use of U.S. soy products in aquaculture internationally. His start was working on the expansion of the USSEC Aquaculture Program from China to a global program in 2002, in the expansion of the In-Pond Raceway System technology from China to a global program starting in 2015, and he also helped to conceptualise and create the International Aquaculture Feed Formulation Database (IAFFD).

He also serves on the USSEC Global Research Committee and aided in the update of the new USSEC IPRS Manual. He currently works with USSEC on a global basis to support the USSEC Director for Animal and Aquaculture and on a regional basis to direct USSEC activities in the USSEC Southeast Asian Region. He is based in Thailand and travels often in the Southeast Asian region and internationally. He served as an officer in the World Aquaculture Society (as the Asia-Pacific Chapter President) and is on the Global Seafood Alliance's Standards Oversight Committee. He is the Managing Director of Seafood Consulting Associates and has worked professionally in the aquaculture industry since 1995. He has worked closely with the global aquaculture industry to improve approaches across the aquaculture production chain. He holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Auburn University in the USA.

Mr Manomaitis will be talking about Soy – Helping to increase aquaculture production in a responsible manner.

His talk will be given at the Aquatic Asia conference, taking place September 6th, 2022. Aquatic Asia is a one-day conference program featuring a variety of industry experts delivering brilliant presentations about the latest updates in both fish and shrimp nutrition. The event is set to take place in Amber 3 Room at IMPACT, Bangkok. The conference will run from 10:00am to 16:00pm.
