Aquaculture Europe 2020 not going ahead, two EAS events scheduled for 2021 in both Cork and Madeira

Gavin Burnell (EAS President 2018-2020) and Herve Migaud (EAS President 2020-2022) from the European Aquaculture Society have released the following statement:

The EAS Board of Directors have decided that AE2020 cannot go ahead as planned in Cork from September 29 to October 2. There will therefore be no Aquaculture Europe event this year. Aquaculture Europe 2020 will not take place this year, but EAS will organise events in both Cork and Madeira in 2021.

However, to maintain our commitment to our chosen locations and to provide delegates, exhibitors and attendees with more scope for participation, EAS will organise two events in 2021. AE2020 in Cork, Ireland from 12-15th April and the official AE2021 event in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal six months later from 5-8th October.

We therefore look forward to welcoming you next year in Cork in April and in Funchal in October!

Programme and abstracts
The programme for AE2020 Cork will be reduced in terms of the number of sessions available for abstract submission. Abstracts that have already been submitted for AE2020 Cork will remain in our system. You do not need to submit them again. If you have submitted an abstract for a session that will not be on the programme in Cork, your abstract will be automatically transferred to the equivalent session at AE2021 Madeira.

If you have submitted an abstract for AE2020 Cork and you would prefer to have it considered for presentation at AE2021 Madeira, please let us know. Your abstract will then be transferred to the equivalent session at AE2021 Madeira.

New abstracts for both AE2020 Cork and AE2021 Madeira can be submitted online. But please make sure that you are submitting them to the correct event!

Exhibitors that have booked booths in Cork are invited to contact Mario (mario@marevent.com) to confirm your booth and/or make a reservation for a booth in Madeira.
