Skretting Australia has announced that the acquisition of Ridley's extrusion facility in Westbury, Tasmania, has become unconditional following the conclusion of the review by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
This acquisition will help Nutreco's aquaculture division Skretting expand its production capacity in the southern island state of Australia.
Skretting CEO Therese Log Bergjord comments, 'I am pleased that we are one step closer to completing this acquisition. Aquaculture has a critical role in making our oceans more sustainable but also in supporting local economies in the markets where we operate. This acquisition is a strategically important investment for Skretting Australia in a growing and leading industry.'
The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
