Aquasend provides aqua farmers with revolutionary technology, communications and management. Aquasend has set a company goal of helping transform the global aqua farming industry within the next five years. To achieve this, Aquasend is providing products that improve water quality through continuous monitoring to the largest and smallest aqua farms around the world.
'We have built a motivated team, who sees the company's vision of changing the world in some way. We realise these goals by providing our customers with products that really do make a difference,' says Kristin Elliott, CEO of Aquasend. 'Being able to attend this year's Aquaculture 2022 Triennial demonstrates our commitment to the industry and helps farmers achieve greater yields, while reducing production costs and enhancing water quality.'
The Aquasend Beacon is designed for outdoor aqua-farming ponds, tanks and raceways to measure dissolved oxygen and temperature through the continuous monitoring of water-quality data. Dissolved oxygen levels and temperature (DOT) are transmitted to an online portal, resulting in real-time, accurate data collection and monitoring capabilities.
The Beacon's two-year soft launch and data collection period has resulted in enhancements including the communication range of the Beacon, now able to communicate over distances up to 1.5 km. The top deck has been modified to improve LED visibility and increase durability during internal pressure changes that may occur in the field and during shipping. The Beacon also has enhanced its anti-fouling capabilities, including anti-fouling paint and a redesigned internal wiper brush to tackle harsh deployment conditions.
Aquasend is eager to attend Aquaculture 2022 Triennial and introduce the Aquasend Beacon to new customers. Show attendees are encouraged to stop by the Aquasend Booth #430, learn more about the Beacon and sign-up for their show giveaway. California farmers are also encouraged to sign-up to participate in the farm research program. The Aquasend team selects farms each year to test the Beacon for R&D purposes and gather data. The farmer utilises the Beacon and the online portal or via mobile device to see data in real time.
