A crucial logistics and distribution hub for Aker BioMarine's Antarctic operations, krill is taken from harvesting vessels by supply ships and off-loaded in Montevideo up to ten times a year. Taking seventy port workers, just thirty-six hours to offload between 3-4000 MTs of krill meal, it is then forwarded to the brand new 10000m2 Frimosa warehouse, and then onwards to customers worldwide.
