Professor El-Sayed confirmed as speaker for the Aquatic MEA Conference at VIV MEA



The Aquatic MEA Conference, organised by both International Aquafeed magazine and VIV, is very pleased to announce that the conference will feature keynote speaker Professor Abdel-Fattah El-Sayed , from Alexandria University in Egypt.

The Aquatic MEA Conference will run for one full-day at VIV MEA on March 10th, 2020, and will feature a variety of industry experts delivering brilliant presentations about the latest updates in both fish and shrimp nutrition in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Professor Abdel-Fattah El-Sayed received his PhD in aquaculture (Tilapia Nutrition) from Michigan State University, USA in 1987. He is currently a full professor in the Oceanography Department, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University, Egypt.
He has also served as a visiting professor to scientific institutions in Japan, Spain, Malaysia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Sultanate of Oman. Dr El-Sayed has authored and co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed publications on aquaculture and fisheries, in addition to four books and eight book chapters.
He has participated in many local, regional, and international aquaculture and fisheries research projects He also participated in over 50 international conferences, in over 40 countries on aquaculture and fisheries sciences, many of them as keynote speaker. Dr El-Sayed has also served as an aquaculture consultant for international organizations including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, the World Fisheries Trust (WFT), the WorldFish Centre, and the African Union's InterAfrican Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR).
He also serves as a member of the editorial board or advisory panel of a number of regional and internal journals and magazines, including: Aquaculture Research, Egyptian Journal of Aquatic Research, International Aquafeed and Emirates Journal of Agricultural Sciences.
