The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission is to finance small-scale aquaculture projects in Zambia to the tune of K12,641.79.
The aim behind the funding is to increase the aquaculture's contribution to the national economy.
The money will be used to create 288 25x50 m fish ponds.
THE
Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) has set aside
K26,781,060 to finance the approved dairy and small-holder aquaculture
commercialisation projects.
A total of K14,139,300 was approved for the financing of the dairy
sector for the supply of 700 pure breed in-calves jersey heifers.
CEEC acting corporate services director Glenda Maseba said in an
interview yesterday that K12,641.79 was meant for establishment of fish
