Commenting on his new role, Mr Lin says, 'I am genuinely excited to be joining Veramaris and being part of this passionate, insurgent team.
'There's no question that consumers are searching the shelves for more sustainable and nutritious options. With Veramaris' unique Omega-3 algae oil, we have an amazing opportunity to help the aquaculture industry, retailers, hospitality and pet food manufacturers deliver the products people are asking for whilst reducing their impact on the planet.'
Karim Kurmaly, CEO of Veramaris, says, 'Bringing on Anthony is a huge coup for Veramaris. His considerable experience in the global food marketing industry will be immensely valuable to us as we continue to deepen our collaboration with partners across our value chain.
'He has a proven track record in growing food categories, partnering with global retail and foodservice brands, as well as skills in digital marketing and innovation.
'I've no doubt that Anthony will be a huge asset to Veramaris and I am looking forward to working with him as we continue to support the continued sustainable growth of aquaculture.'
Mr Lin is the third hire for Veramaris this year, preceded by Victoria Parr in March and Johan Brouwer in July, who joined the company as Global Business Development Directors.
Veramaris was founded in 2018 as a joint venture between science and chemicals giants DSM and Evonik and is leading the ongoing revolution in new, sustainable feed and food ingredients.
The company's certification earlier this year by ASC and MSC is expanding the world's access to certified EPA & DHA Omega-3 by 45 percent.
Veramaris represents the sustainable choice for Omega-3 nutrition in both the aquaculture and pet food industries. Salmon, shrimp and other species as well as cats and dogs can now grow up on EPA & DHA Omega-3 from natural marine algae, which reduces reliance on wild-caught fish for feed.
In fact, Veramaris' EPA & DHA Omega-3 is now more potent than ever before, with a potency level greater than 60 percent compared to the previous 50 percent, thanks to ongoing improvements by the company's international R&D team.
