- Mangroves conservation to lock carbon away in trees may be an economic way to curb climate change, according to a story on the BBC website. Research presented in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), suggests that carbon credit schemes similar to those for rainforests could be applied to mangroves.
