- First up is news from the Cordoba Times which reports that up to 98 percent of hatchery fish could be present in wild stock streams in Prince William Sound, Alaska. A three-year study conducted by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game found that strays were far higher than the two percent threshold currently advised by the state. This research raises questions about the so far unexplored potential impact of interbreeding. Read more...
