'We are excited to host animal feed industry suppliers and buyers to make new connections and learn strategies that drive business,' says Sarah Novak, AFIA's vice president of membership and public relations. 'After a tumultuous couple of years, members are looking to foster and deepen relationships with their suppliers and customers, and we are happy to provide that opportunity. We look forward to safely being back on the road seeing our members and making new acquaintances.'
In addition to the networking events, conference attendees will hear presentations on myriad topics, including: broken supply chains – trade, rail, shipping and trucking challenges, California's Proposition 12, managing the threat of foreign animal diseases, such as African swine fever, forecasting the grain and economic outlooks and more. The conference will also boast a Suppliers Showcase where AFIA member suppliers will have the opportunity to highlight their products and services.
PISC will take place in-person at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco but may look different in years past due to the AFIA's commitment to providing a safe environment for attendees in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Early-bird registration is available until January 6 for $599 for AFIA members and $2,150 for nonmembers. Following that date, the fee will increase to $725 and $2,300, respectively.
