fish international rescheduled to September 2022

The event fish international 2022 will be moved from February to 4-6 September, 2022. This is MESSE BREMEN's response to the request of the fishing industry.

"In consideration of the importance of this event for the industry, we want to give the companies involved and the visitors a sense of certainty in their planning," says Hans Peter Schneider, Managing Director of M3B GmbH, explaining the reasons for this decision. The fair organizers want to avoid cancelling Germany's only trade fair for the fishing industry at short notice if the Corona pandemic worsens.

Personal exchange for the fish industry is important
Preparations for fish international 2022 are almost complete. A few months before the originally planned event date in February, the trade fair is very well booked. "This shows how important the fair is to the entire industry as a place for personal exchange," says project manager Sabine Wedell. Importers, producers, traders and caterers have been meeting regularly at the international trade fair for over 30 years.

From 2024 back again with GASTRO IVENT
We are currently sensing a growing concern about the progression of the pandemic in Germany," says Wedell. "We have had many talks with our exhibitors. They don't want to risk cancelling their plans at the last minute, foregoing personal meetings and therefore prefer to accept the postponement to a later date."

GASTRO IVENT, which usually takes place in parallel, will be held independently of fish international in 2023 as a Special Edition. "We have identified 28 to 30 January as the best timeframe for this," says Claudia Nötzelmann, Head of Trade Fairs at MESSE BREMEN. "We want to stick to the long-term concept of holding fish international and GASTRO IVENT together, thus offering an added value for all visitors and exhibitors. From 2024 onwards, the fairs will take place together again'.
