Daily Digest: 11/06/12

Hello,

Hope you all had a great weekend.  Time for an aquaculture catch up.  This is what you've missed:
  • The University of Hawaii Aquaculture Program has launched an online community outreach program  designed encourage Pacific region dwellers to become aquatic farmers.  Read more...
  • Talking of the Pacific, 15 countries and territories are meeting in Noumea this week to discuss how climate change will affect Pacific fisheries.  Read more...
  • Fishermen in Uganda are urged to move form capture fishing to cage farming.  Read more...
  • I love a new gadget so was very excited to see the Environmental Sample Processor (ESP) used at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC).  The ESP can collect and analyse water samples in the field and then email the results to scientists back in the lab.  Watch video...
Tell us what you think...
