03/07/12: South East Asia daily digest special

Hello, 

It's daily digest time...
Today I have been dreaming of sunnier climes and indulging in a South East Asia daily digest special.

  • Vietnam and Thailand have signed a deal on the 'control and supervision of quality and hygiene  safety of aquatic products' according to a report on tuoitrenews.vn.  In layman's terms, the two countries will exchange aquaculture information, work together to prevent and control sea disease and promote seafood trade.  Read more...

  • Good news for shellfish fan in the Philippines.  Shellfish in Bataan have come up negative for red tide testing so the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources has lifted its ban.  Locals can now go mussel picking whenever they fancy.  Read more...
