06/05/2015: POLFISH at AmberExpo, Gdansk, Poland, 27 - 29 May 2015

On 27 - 29 May 2015, AmberExpo in Gdansk will host the following trade fairs dedicated to the seafood, food and catering industries:

• BALTPIEK Bakery, Confectionery and Ice Cream Product Fair 
• GASTROEXPO Gastronomy, Hotel and Shop Equipment and Supply Fair 
• MILKY REVUE Dairy Fair 
• POLFISH Fish Processing and Seafood Product Fair - the only trade exhibition in Poland, and one of the largest ones in Central Europe, specialising in the fish industry

The trade fairs will offer opportunities to hold meetings with industry representatives, to share experience and to participate in the accompanying events for both professionals and amateurs with a passion for cooking, healthy food or catering.
     
A pick of the key events:

• National Culinary Relay Race for Young Chefs to be hosted by Krzysztof Skiba
• Sweet Talent Hotbed: Food industry school students will demonstrate their skills in the Confectionery Art Competition for the Gdansk Guild of Bakers’ and Confectioners’ Cup, hosted by Krzysztof Skiba
• Bartending Shows by BarCocktail
• Training, seminars and lectures by leading industry figures such as Malika Juchnowicz, Dominika Stefankiewicz-Dietrich and Krzysztof Szulborski.

Topics to be covered include:

• ’Modern Ways of Serving Food. The Philosophy of Catering’,
• ‘Media in the Kitchen: Advantages and Disadvantages’,
• ‘Eat Fast Food or Be Healthy: The Choice is Yours!’

MSC Poland will conduct a seminar titled, 'MSC’s Fishery and Chain of Custody Certification. New standards'.

There will also be a forum titled,  'Innovative Packaging for Seafood', brought to you by Fish Industry Magazine and SealedAir.
Previous fairs were attended by nearly 250 exhibitors from 8 countries, and more than 5000 visitors.
