Students, academics and industry leaders will gather to focus on key issues affecting global food security
Novus International, Inc., a global leader in animal nutrition, announces its support as a Platinum Sponsor for the 25th Annual International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) World Conference held this year in St. Paul, Minnesota. The four-day event features a student case competition, symposium and world forum focused on global food security. An international audience of students, academics and industry leaders will gather June 14 – 17, 2015, at the St Paul River Centre for the conference.
"I am proud to see the continued involvement of Novus in the important work that IFAMA is doing to advance the agribusiness sector through this conference,” said Thad Simons, president of IFAMA.
"Novus continues to lead the industry in its commitment to innovation and global citizenship."
The IFAMA World Conference is a unique international platform for discussion, networking and innovation around issues in food and agribusiness management. During this year’s conference, IFAMA will launch “Become the Solution: Food Security 2050,” a three-year initiative that will engage a diverse global network on three critical and intersecting issues facing the challenge of feeding the estimated nine billion people who will live on the planet by 2050: People, Climate and Big Data.
As a part of the round-table discussions around these three major themes, Novus will host a session focused on impacting the next generation of agricultural professionals titled, “STEM Education Development within the Agricultural Field for Technologically Advanced Food Production Systems in the 21st Century”.
“Scientific advancements have enabled producers to meet today’s agricultural demands, but we are looking to the next generation to continue to develop new technologies to help feed the world’s growing population, while using resources more efficiently,” commented François Fraudeau, president and chief executive officer of Novus.
“Novus is proud to sponsor this year’s IFAMA conference, as it will explore critical issues facing the food industry.”
Over the last ten years, Novus has assisted in career development for more than 250 life sciences students, giving them a global perspective of the impact that can be made in agriculture.
