10/02/2016: Prof Abdel-Fattah M El-Sayed to give overview on aquaculture in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi

Professor Abdel-Fattah M El-Sayed will be speaking at the One Day Short Course in Aqua Feed in Abu Dhabi. 
 
Prof El-Sayed will be speaking on ‘Aquaculture in the Middle East: An overview’.


This review throws a light on the aquaculture industry in the Middle East. It describes the production status and trends of both capture fisheries and aquaculture sectors in the region. The major aquaculture producers, farmed species and farming systems are highlighted. 

An overview of the aquafeed industry in the Middle East is also given, with emphasis on the major aquaculture producers, feed production, types, prices, distribution among farmed species, etc. Finally, the study summarises the opportunities and challenges of aquaculture in the Middle East.

The One Day Short Course in Aqua Feed takes place on Sunday February 14, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM GST at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
