Seagriculture announces dates for their 2022 events

The organisers have announced the dates for Seagriculture in 2022. The International Seaweed Conference will take place in the EU and for the first time in the USA.

Seagriculture EU: June 29-30 2022, Bremerhaven, Germany
Seagriculture USA: September 7-8 2022, Portland (ME), USA

By expanding Seagriculture to the USA the organisers aim to create synergy between both events as well as to contribute to knowledge exchange between Europe and North America and foster a dialogue for the rapidly growing seaweed industry.

The programme of the conferences addresses the many different applications of seaweed and combines plenary sessions with interactive poster presentations, mini-fairs and discussion panels.

Experts and professionals from around the world meet in plenary sessions to discuss seaweed biology, standards, regulation, seaweed economics and seaweed production.

High-profile speakers share their expertise in seaweed for feed, food, offshore cultivation, seaweed biorefinery and more. Don't miss this unique opportunity to network with colleagues in industry and research.

Seagriculture EU
Seagriculture EU has been successfully organised since 2012 and takes place every year in another country in Europe. The conference has built up a solid reputation as the leading conference for the Seaweed industry.

BIS Bremerhavener Gesellschaft für Investitionsförderung und Stadtentwicklung mbH (the Bremerhaven Economic Development Company Ltd.) is proudly supporting Seagriculture EU 2022.

Seagriculture USA
DLG Benelux has also announced the launch of Seagriculture USA, the First International Seaweed Conference in North America.

Being the hotspot for the seaweed industry in North America, the state of Maine is proudly supporting this first international seaweed conference in the USA. The conference is being sponsored by Maine Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), Maine Technology Institute (MTI), Maine International Trade Center (MITC) and Maine North Atlantic Development Office (MENADO).

The USA edition comes in addition to the European conference. By adding Seagriculture USA to the portfolio, the organisers want to make a positive impact on the seaweed industry and community and make the connection between Europe and North America enabling industry professionals to learn from one another.
