The feedback from the public
consultation of ASC's pangasius, tilapia and salmon standards is now available
on the ASC website.
A dedicated technical working group will process this feedback to identify areas for improvements in the standards and will produce a review report setting out any recommended changes. Based on this report, draft revised standards will be produced. The revised drafts will be published for public consultation later this year.
A dedicated technical working group will process this feedback to identify areas for improvements in the standards and will produce a review report setting out any recommended changes. Based on this report, draft revised standards will be produced. The revised drafts will be published for public consultation later this year.
The public consultation was an
opportunity for stakeholders to take part in ASC's operational review and offer
their views on how to improve these three ASC standards. The review is governed
by the guidelines set out in the ISEAL Code of Conduct for Standard Setting.
The review complements ASC's project to
harmonise its eight farm standards to create a core ASC Standard, with species'
or production method specific requirements where needed. It is expected that
some of the feedback received may feed into the harmonisation project, as it
may be more relevant in that context.
Download the Terms of Reference for the
operational review, which sets out the objectives of the review, its scope and
timelines. This has been revised based on public feedback.
