Vietnam aims for growth in aquaculture

Vietnam is aiming to achieve growth within the aquaculture industry over the next ten years. Export revenues are estimated to reach US$6.7 billion (€4.7 billion) by 2015 and US$8 billion (€5,6 billion) by 2020. To achieve the targets, the industry aims to improve the processing system and to increase product value by improving the farming technology to prevent disease and invest in better irrigation systems. And by 2020, all exports-processing establishments will meet with international regulations on food and environment. Read more...
