This Thursday a unique research and
training centre for the aquaculture industry will be officially opened in the
south west of England, The Western Daily Press reports.
The Aquaculture Research Centre at
Bridgewater College will not only offer students high-class vocational training
for the industry, but it will also conduct serious research into beneficial
additives and sustainable protein sources for fish feed.
Bridgewater College already has 35 students
on its Level 3 Diploma course in fish management: more are expected. Plans are
also under consideration for a training centre specific to the study of eels.
