26/10/2015: GSSI: Global Benchmark Tool successfully launched

http://www.ourgssi.org/
GSSI Partners say thank you to all participants making the Global Benchmark Tool launch on 8 October in Vigo a success. Special thanks goes to our Partner FAO and to Conxemar for hosting the launch during the exciting 20th anniversary celebrations of the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries. José Louis Freire, President of Conxemar, welcomed the Tool in his opening address as an important advancement for global seafood trade.

The GSSI Global Benchmark Tool, which is now available online, is the first collective and non-competitive approach to provide clarity on seafood certification worldwide. GSSI Partners are committed to including the outcomes of the Benchmark Process in their daily operations and look forward to the first seafood certification schemes signing up to be benchmarked.
