To make EMD 2016 a success, we want the active involvement of the maritime community. Therefore, the European Commission (DG for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) in partnership with the City of Turku and the Permanent Representation of Finland to the EU is organising an information session in Brussels, on 18 November 2015 (9.00-12.00). A sandwich lunch will be served from 12.00-13.00.
The EMD 2016 conference will identify positive steps to develop the integrated maritime agenda. Blue Growth, the sustainable use of resources and ocean governance and the transition to a decarbonised energy system, can all have advanced by practical measures that the maritime community can identify. We will emphasise the skills and qualifications needed for future blue careers, informed by this communities expertise.
EMD workshops will reflect the input of the maritime community. And members can applying for an exhibition booth to present their organisations, projects, products or services.
To register for this information session please confirm your participation by 13 November via email to: krista.taipale@turku.fi
The meeting will take place at the premises of Finland´s Permanent Representation to the European Union, Avenue de Cortenbergh 80, B-1000 Bruxelles.
