The Scottish salmon company (SSC), continued expansion will involve the creation of 10 new farms and it aims to complete its expansion within the next five years. SSC produces 20 percent of Scotland's total salmon output, the company said that half the job they are creating will be for the Western Isles with other in the Highlands and Argyll.
Stewart McLelland, SCC’s chief executive, pledged to develop all the new sites to the RSPCA’s “Freedom Food” standard, which sets rules for stocking density, fish welfare and harvest.
