A British born activist Don Staniford, stands defiant as he takes on the worlds largest salmon farming companies. On January 16, Staniford must defend himself at the Supreme Court of British Columbia where he has been accused of making defamatory remarks against Mainstream Canada, the province's second largest salmon farming company, if he loses the case it will cost him Can$125,000 (€95,292.231).
"It's definitely a stressful situation," said Staniford, who is a native of Merseyside, England, near Liverpool. "It's obviously gearing up for a fight.
