The Scottish Salmon Company have won the title of “The Best Marine Aquaculture Company” in Thursday night’s Scottish Marine Aquaculture Awards. The Scottish Salmon Company, who operate salmon farms in the Outer Hebrides, were awarded the top prize for all-round excellence. The company, which also has a processing factory in Stornoway, are one of the largest private sector employers in the islands.
Congratulating the company on their achievement, Na H-Eileanan an Iar SNP MP Angus MacNeil said: “I am delighted that The Scottish Salmon Company have been recognised in this way, winning the top prize for all-round excellence is a fantastic achievement. The company employs over 150 people in the Outer Hebrides and as one of the largest private sector employers is important to the local economy. Read more ...
