Largest aqua program reaches out to consumers

GLOBALG.A.P. will tell its conference delegates on April 25, 2012 at the Brussels Fairgrounds, Belgium, that it represents more than two million tonnes of certified seafood from aqua farms, through its 'On-FarmResponsible Aquaculture Program' – which offers more products from certified farms than all other aquaculture labels combined.

Its representation has quadrupled since 2010 and now covers more species then any other major program. Salmonids (including rainbow trout), shrimp, tilapia and pangasius, barramundi, pike-perch, sea bass and sea bream are all included, with molluscs soon to be included.
