The Mount Isa Fish Stocking Group have announced a AU$45,000 hatchery, to ensure local fisheries in Lake Moondarra and Lake Julius in Northern Queensland, Australia are well stocked with sooty grunter and barramundi.
The plans include an interactive tourism attraction which will provide an educational facility covering aquaculture and lake sustainability and will be self sustaining when fully operational.
