The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) in the USA has a new consumer-facing image.
The Council role is to manage standards in the area of responsible aquaculture so when consumers pick up a product with the ASC logo on it, you’ll know that it comes from a fishfarms that have met its standards; such as limiting the impacts on the environment and the community.

Those familiar with the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) will notice a similarity between the two logos. That's because there is meant to be one. The ASC says, “The label is complimentary to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) label; which is used on certified and sustainably wild caught fish."
The first species to be awarded the ASC label will likely be tilapia and audits are already planned for farms in Indonesia and Honduras. Later, the ASC label will be present on the packaging of tilapia in various supermarkets in Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Sweden, Denmark and England.
